Two more people have been arrested after an alleged armed robbery at a prominent Wiltshire hotel.
Police were called to the Castle Hotel, on New Park Street in Devizes, just before 10pm on Sunday, February 18.
A man wearing a mask allegedly entered the venue, threatened staff with a weapon disguised inside a bag, and demanded money.
Police made two arrests in connection with the incident on Thursday, February 22.
A man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of committing armed robbery during the morning.
Just hours later a woman in her 40s was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery.
They both remained in custody awaiting questioning at the time of writing.
Officers investigating the incident had already made one arrest.
He has since been released on bail.
Officers are continuing to investigate the incident and have urged any witnesses to come forward.
A spokesperson for the force said: “A third person has been arrested by officers investigating an armed robbery in Devizes.
“If you saw anything suspicious, or have information that could help with our enquiries please contact us on 101 quoting reference number 54240019416.”
