A suspected armed robber has been arrested after an incident at a prominent town centre hotel in Wiltshire.
It reportedly took place at the Castle Hotel in Devizes, just before 10pm on Sunday, February 18.
A masked man allegedly entered the busy hotel, threatened staff, and demanded money.
Police say they are investigating the incident as an armed robbery and have now arrested a man in his 40s on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery.
Despite the arrest, officers’ enquiries remain ongoing and any witnesses have been urged to come forward.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Officers investigating an armed robbery in Devizes have arrested a man in his 40s on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery.
“It follows an incident at the Castle Hotel just before 10pm on Sunday, February 18, when a man in a mask threatened staff and demanded money.
