A brand new Post Office is due to open in a Wiltshire town and will welcome customers seven days a week.

The Post Office will open a new branch at the SPAR convenience store on James Avenue in Calne, at 1pm on Friday, March 22.

This new service will see a low-screened, open plan Post Office point integrated into the store’s retail counter and will be open seven days a week, between the hours of 8am and 9pm.

Customers will be able to access a range of services at the new branch, including posting letters and parcels, collecting and returning online deliveries, withdrawing cash, and accessing their bank accounts.

Antoinette Chitty, the Post Office’s network provision lead, says the new branch will refresh the company’s network and meet the needs of customers.

She said: “We want to make it as easy as possible for customers to pay their bills, withdraw cash from their bank accounts, and send and collect their mail at a time and place that suits them best.

“We know how important our services are to customers, and are confident that this brand new Post Office alongside the other branches in the area at Calne and Quemerford will ensure that people in this area of Calne have easy access to our services.”
