Land earmarked for a business park on the edge of a major Wiltshire housing development is up for sale.
The site of the proposed Chippenham Business Park, just off Malmesbury Roundabout on the A350, is being sold for a commercial development on the edge of the 750-home Birds Marsh View development.
It is envisaged that this site will be used for conventional employment uses including new office, industrial, or distribution centres.
James Gregory, a partner at Alder King, the property consultants marketing the property, told this paper that best bids had been sought and expressions of interest were being considered before progressing.
The land is split into two plots totalling 7.22 acres and is on the market for offers in excess of £750,000 per acre.
Wiltshire Council previously granted planning permission for light industrial, general industrial, and storage and distribution uses at the site as part of the Birds Marsh View development.
Alder Kings says preference will be given to buyers looking to purchase the potential business park as a whole, but consideration may be given to the sale of individual plots.
They described Chippenham Business Park as a “highly prominent employment land opportunity fronting the busy A350.”
