Two teenagers have been arrested for allegedly robbing a 16-year-old boy who was “assaulted and threatened”.

The victim was approached by two other boys, who were unknown to him, in Station Road, Corsham, at around 1.50pm on Saturday, July 15.

They threatened the 16-year-old with violence and assaulted him, before throwing his bag in a bush and making off with cash.

The victim was not injured in the incident.

Two boys, both 16, have now been arrested on suspicion of robbery following an investigation by the Chippenham Response, CID and Corsham Neighbourhood teams.

They have been released on bail pending further enquiries after being taken into custody and questioned at Gablecross Police Station in Swindon.

Investigating officers have appealed for any witnesses to come forward while their enquiries continue.
