A DIESEL spillage has caused traffic delays this morning near the village of Semington.
Police were alerted at 5.59am to a spillage on the Semington bypass.
The fuel was spread over a two-mile stretch of the road between the Devizes Road roundabout and the Hilperton Road roundabout.
Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene to do what they could to make the road safe.
The Highways Agency has put cones along the road and signs up to alert drivers.
It is thought the spillage was caused by a single vehicle.
