Dear Editor, Congratulations to all the people who have been lucky enough to secure a place in the 2008 BUPA Great Wales Run.

This is a great run in a fantastic city, and I'm calling on all runners from nearby towns/cities with a place to help those facing the toughest challenge of their lives.

Marie Curie Cancer Care is BUPA's the nominated charity for the 2008 BUPA Great Wales Run. Marie Curie Nurses work through the day and night to provide free end-of-life care for people with terminal illnesses in the comfort of their own home, surrounded by the people they love. This year the charity expects to care for around 27,000 people at home or in a Marie Curie Hospice.

To help the charity continue providing this vital support, I'm calling on anyone with a place in the BUPA Great Wales Run or any of the BUPA runs to join the Marie Curie Cancer Care Daffodil Team by calling 08700 340 040 or email daffodil.runs@mariecurie.org.uk.

In return for your commitment and dedication you'll receive a fundraising pack, online training guide from our celebrity fitness coach, nominated charity running vest and support from the Marie Curie Cancer Care team who will be cheering you on every step of the way.

No matter how far you run or how much money you raise, every £20 will help provide one hour of nursing care. Your involvement will make a difference to thousands of people with terminal illnesses and their families, so join me and the Daffodil Team today.

Thanks for your support,

Clair Cusack
