A 45-year-old man has been charged with murder after the body of an elderly woman was found in woods in Dorset.
The murder inquiry began after the pensioner, who is believed to be from Wiltshire and aged 84, was found near Compton Abbas Airfield on Sunday.
A post-mortem examination showed she died of multiple skull fractures caused by a blunt instrument.
The man is due to appear before magistrates at Chippenham this morning.
