Ten more people were arrested on Tuesday afternoon in connection with the violent disorder in Calne on Monday (November 7) in which three teenagers were injured.

The men, aged between 14 and 17 and all from the Devizes area, have been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder following "extensive CCTV enquiries".

They have been taken to police stations in Melksham and Swindon for further questioning.

This follows Monday’s arrest of a 15-year-old boy on suspicion of affray and possession of an offensive weapon.

A 15-year-old boy sustained an injury to his leg and two other youths sustained injuries during the disorder which lasted for more than two hours.

Enquiries in relation to the incident remain ongoing.

Anyone with information is urged to call 101 and quote crime reference number 54220117558. This includes anyone with CCTV, mobile phone footage or dash cam.

Locals rang the emergency number for police after a fight started when several young men from the Devizes area arrived in The Pippin area of Calne. Most of those involved were said to be under the age of 18.

Five police officers managed to separate the two groups and the incident is said to have lasted until 5.30pm - more than two hours.

The disorder ended when the group of youths from Devizes boarded a bus and left the area.
