I would like to say a huge thank you to the people who helped me at Lacock boot sale on Sunday morning, after I was knocked over by a man on a quad bike. The two women and a man were very kind and reassuring whilst we waited for the ambulance to arrive. I didn't have the chance to thank them personally as I was in shock and near hysteria at the time.
Luckily nothing was broken, and I escaped with heavy bruising on my hip and lower back, and a few other bumps and scrapes. I would be very grateful if they wouldn't mind contacting me - either directly, as I remember I gave my name and address - or via the local Gazette office.
I would also like to say a sarcastic thank you to both the person on the quad bike (who scarpered on foot) and the stallholder selling the bike - neither of whom seemed remotely concerned for my welfare at the time, or indeed, the health and safety of everyone else there.
Had a small child, a pregnant woman or an elderly person been in the way, I dread to think of how different the outcome might have been. Many thanks again to my anonymous helpers.
