YOUNGSTERS at a Devizes infant school got an early taste of royal wedding celebrations when they held a bake off two days before Harry and Meghan's big day.
The children at Southbroom Infants Day had a royal wedding themed competition on Thursday which was judged by Phil Johns who owns the Little Bakehouse in the town.
Creations came in a variety of shapes and sizes with a wide range of coloured icing giving many a red, white and blue theme.
Sarah Caulfield-Ware from the school's parent teacher association said: "Parents, carers, children and teaching staff all took part in this exciting themed bake off. Victoria sponges proved the most popular cake to make but there were also traybakes, scones and cupcakes."
Mrs Caulfield-Ware said: The children entries were fantastic, so much time and effort went into their entries, including one child who had drawn her own design before icing her creation."
