THE king of Elvis tributes left audience members in Chippenham all shook up as he took to the stage to help the town's Lions raise some much needed cash.
Gary Foley, who played Elvis in a stage production which toured all over the world, brought his award-winning show to a sell-out crowd at the Neeld on April 7, helping raise over £3,000 for the Lions Club, which will be dished out to deserving charities and organisations around the world.
"It was the first time we had put on an event of this kind and we think we have raised around £3,000 for local, national and international charities," Martin Horton, of the Lions Club, said.
"Elvis walked among us and thanks to the Neeld advertising it so well, all the tickets sold out. Gary is a fantastic performer who came with a good pedigree to entertain.
"It was a brilliant night and he came down off the stage to get people involved and some of them even ended up on the stage with him at the end of the night."
