A 30-YEAR-OLD responsible for a number of burglaries in Calne has been handed a three month jail sentence.
Stuart Webb, of Ridgemead, Calne, appeared at Swindon magistrates court on Saturday (December 9) where he pleaded guilty to two counts of burglary and one theft.
In two separate incidents between October 18 and December 3, Webb burgled from Curry King and Calne Kebab and Pizza on William Street. On December 6 he stole from Tesco Express in Harrier Close.
Community Coordinator Stuart Welch, said: "This is a good result for officers from Wiltshire North Community Policing Team who carried out enquiries to locate and arrest Webb.
"We understand how distressing burglaries can be for victims, and this sends out a message to others intent on engaging in such criminality that we will carry out extensive enquiries to ensure justice is done."
