THE Channel Nutters from Southbroom Infants School, Devizes have lived up to their name by completing their relay swim from Dover to France.
Colin Carter, Lucie Glander, Sally Dunford, Henry Fry and Sarah Caulfield-Ware announced earlier today that they had completed their epic challenge to raise money for school funds and four charities.
Before they set off Mr Carter, who is chairman of governors at the school said: ""We started this journey to show the children of Southbroom Infants that with ambition and effort you can achieve anything, no matter how daunting it may seem at first.
"The kids are taught if you try, try, try then you can, can, can and we're putting this into practice."
Today they showed that was true.
It is not too late to still support them. They are raising money for the school's friends association, Lifeboats, Wiltshire Air Ambulance, the Finlay Foundation and Maytree, which is a sanctuary for the suicidal.
They have a total target of £12,500 and so far have raised £6,825.66. To sponsor them go to https://www.justgiving.com/teams/ChannelNutters
