MORE than 50 motorists were given verbal warnings by police for speeding following a road safety operation in Marlborough and Pewsey.
Speed checks were carried out at various locations on Friday by the Marlborough and Pewsey neighbourhood policing teams, special constabulary, tri force traffic officers and community speed watch teams.
One vehicle was seized for having no insurance, one driver was reported for excess speed, 12 fixed penalty notices were issued along with 51 verbal warnings to motorists.
