CALNEFEST has announced that pop rock band Dodgy will headline the main stage at this year’s festival on June 6.

The festival has also confirmed that it is introducing a brand new comedy tent which will be headlined by multi-award nominated comedian Andrew O'Neill.

The comedy tent will be feature alongside the main stage, dance tent and LeRoc live lounge at the festival's fifth year.

Britpop band Dodgy rose to prominence during the britpop era in the 1990s and are best known for hits like Good Enough, which reached number four in the UK singles chart, and Staying Out For The Summer.

In 2012, the band released their first album in over a decade, the hugely critically acclaimed Stand Upright In A Cool Place.

Mr O'Neill is a regular on TV, with appearances on shows such as Never Mind the Buzzcocks and Saxondale as well as appearing regularly on the comedy stages at Download, Sonisphere and Reading and Leeds festivals.

The new stage will be hosted by Chippenham's favourite comedy export, Wil Hodgson, a regular at the Edinburgh festival fringe.

More announcements on the festival's line-up are expected soon.
