ENTRIES for Sunday's (15) Devizes 10k have been boosted by runners inspired by the story of run organiser Damion Godwin.
The Gazette carried a story last month about how Mr Godwin, who is captain of Devizes Running Club, turned his life around after the death of his baby son soon after his birth.
Mr Godwin went from overweight to super fit after he took up running. A number of people contacted him after the story appeared to enter the run or to sign up for the club's sofa to 5k courses.
Around 400 people are expected on the start line at Devizes Football Club on Sunday. They will leave Nursteed Road at 10am and then go out towards Etchilhampton before doing a countryside loop and then finish back at the football club.
Numbers can be collected from 8.30am when on the day entry will also be available.
