CHILDREN'S artistic talent is was on show last week as their work was displayed in Bishops Cannings for the tenth Young People’s Art Competition.
The competition and exhibition showed off the talents of the 95 youngsters who took part in a display that ended on Sunday.
The work was judged by local artists Leslie Benson, Brenda Lyon and Jeff Meddings along with textile designer Cathy Pearce.
The prizes were presented by former parish council chairman Brian Little.
Organiser Sarah Padwick said: “The children have produced excellent work including some sculptures and models of First World War aircrafts.”
This year’s competition also had £250.17 of funding from Wiltshire Council’s Integrated Youth and Children’s Services to help sponsor the prizes.
This included the five winners of the 15-18 group receiving a year’s free membership of The Lawrence Society of Art and entry into the annual Lawrence Society of Art Exhibition in November.
