A CHIPPENHAM resident won £1,000 on the People’s Postcode Lottery when postcode SN14 0EX was drawn yesterday.
Connie Hannam, of Plantation Road, said she would be spending the money on a holiday.
Mrs Hannam, who is retired and fosters rescue dogs, said: "I have never won anything in my life, I am so shocked.
“I am celebrating my 65th birthday next week so this win has really come at the perfect time.
"I'll go somewhere in this country so I can take my dogs, I've got four Jack Russells.”
This is the second Daily Prize win for the area recently as players won £1,000 each when postcode SN13 9HZ (Pound Pill area in Corsham) was drawn in August.
Fifty pence from every £2 ticket goes to good causes and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have so far awarded £63.6 million to charities.
