WILTSHIRE police have confirmed that one woman is to be charged with assault following an incident in The Brittox, Devizes, which left Jason Edwards in a coma.
Last week Mr Edwards spoke out about his upset that no serious charges were to be brought. Wiltshire Police has now responded and said: "Wiltshire Police have completed an extensive and comprehensive investigation in relation to this case, and as a result, three people were arrested.
"The evidence was passed to the Crown Prosecution Service to make a charging decision in relation to the three arrests. Subsequently, they have decided to charge one female with assault.
"As a victim of crime, Wiltshire Police have supported Mr Edwards through this difficult time and will continue to do so."
Police yesterday said no one has yet been charged.
