John Bentley School in Calne is advertising for a replacement for former principal Laura Carleton.
The school website states it is looking for a visionary who will embrace the values and ethos of the school.
Ms Carleton joined the academy in September 2013, having been deputy head of Bristol Grammar School, but had not been at the school since October, pending an investigation by governors.
The school announced she had resigned as principal in December.
Melanie Sutton has been acting principal since the start of the investigation.
Ofsted gave the school, which has about 1,000 pupils, good ratings in all categories in 2013.
The closing date for applications is March 13, with the new principal expected to start work in September.
