To Michelle Donelan, Prospective Conservative MP, and Duncan HAMES, Liberal Democrat MP for Chippenham.

We are writing this open letter as we are tired of your seeming political side-stepping a simple question. We have written to you separately to ascertain your views of the proposed Range development on the greenfield site along the A350 between Morrisons and Bumpers Farm. Neither of you has given a straight answer to a straight question of whether, in your opinion, Wiltshire councillors/planners should approve this application.

As the proposed development will be the same size as Heathrow Airport Terminal 5, and the distribution centre is the same size as Morrisons distribution centre at Bridgwater, this is a hugely important local issue which will have considerable impact once built on everyone living in Chippenham, the surrounding villages and anyone wanting to travel along the A350 or on the A420. It is a very straightforward question which requires a straight answer.

It is time to make your decisions as James Gray, Conservative MP, Andrew Newman, candidate for the Labour Party, and Samantha Fletcher, candidate for the Green Party, have made their views clear.
