A woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol after a car was involved in two collisions on the same morning.
A black Renault Clio was going towards Calne on the A3102 at Hilmarton last Thur-sday, at about 8am, when it collided with a car heading the other way. Soon after, it was involved in a crash with a silver car on the bypass.
It was also reported to have mounted a pavement and almost hit a wall in Langley Road, Chippenham, at 9am.
A 37-year-old Westbury woman was arrested on suspicion of drink or drug driving, without due care and failing to stop at an accident. She was later bailed.
The two other drivers and witnesses are being urged to call PC Simon Akers on 101.
