THE chairman of the Calne Environmental Network is confident the group can continue following a meeting to discuss its future.
An extraordinary meeting was held on Wednesday, October 22, at the Community Hub to look at the declining numbers attending events.
Peter Knight was pleased with the attendance of 17, with a further 16 apologies.
He said: “The meeting went really well, there were lots of ideas and it felt very positive so we are looking good for the future.”
The group plans to increase its Facebook presence and look into the possibility of up to six special interest groups so people can attend events which interest them most.
Calne Environmental Network has spent the past 12 months planting vegetable beds and wild flower areas as well as conducting litter picks and organising June’s Green Calne Day.
