Organisers of Devizes Food and Drink Festival are trying to whip up more support amid fears the 2014 event might be the last.
Former chairman Debbie Chambers has had to step down and has urged people who enjoy the festival and want it to continue to volunteer for the committee.
Mrs Chambers, who has had to leave the committee due to personal commitments said: “While the committee feels that it can keep going without a chair, the positions of secretary and treasurer, which are vital to the running of the festival, are also unfilled.
“Unless we can get some new members in the next few weeks, it is unlikely that there will be a festival next year. We would welcome anyone who has time to spare to help out with all aspects of the festival and we are particularly keen to hear from anyone who would be willing to help with the administration.”
The 2014 Food and Drink Festival was the tenth staged in the town but it is not the first time the organisers have struggled to get enough committee members.
