A concert commemorating 100 years since the First World War began will take place later this month.
Songs, poetry and readings will be given and artwork displayed in as part of Corsham’s series of events marking the start of the war.
Corsham Area Heritage and the Ad Hoc Theatre Company have joined up to host the concert and music will be performed by three choirs. Letters written by soldiers on the front line will also be read.
Some of the material will relate directly to the town and will include historic photographs of Corsham, loaned by the Civic Society.
The concert will take place on Saturday, October 18, at 7pm in Corsham School, The Tynings.
Tickets cost £5 and can be purchased from the Tourist Information Centre.
