Music really is the food on love at The Big Feastival later this month, when Blue-guitarist-turned-farmer Alex James and foodie-on-a-mission Jamie Oliver host The Big Feastival.

The aim is to mix music, some fabulous cookery and food and fun, in the process raising money for Jamie’s Food Foundation which promotes healthy eating and educating youngsters about food.

Alex James opens the gates at his farm in kingham in the Cotswolds, north of Cirencester, for the three days of music. As you might expect, the hosts have organised a musical line-up popular with their generation, so there is also lots on offer to keep the kids entertained while you enjoy yourself.

New to the festival this year, things get started early with performances from Guilty Pleasures, Bjorn Again and Fleetwood Bac on Friday, August 29.

On the Saturday, Fat Boy Slim headlines, with Kelis, Laura Mvula, Norman Jay, The Cuban Brothers, Molotov Jukebox and Duke in suport.

Sunday’s acts include the Lee Thomspon Ska Orchestra, Jack Savoretti, Kitty, Daisy and lewis, Stornoway, De La Soul and finally Jamie Cullum headlines to bring the evening to a close.
