FORMER frontman of popular boy band Busted Charlie Simpson wowed a crowd of 150 Marlborough fans on Tuesday with a short acoustic set and signing.
The pop star made an appearance at Sound Knowledge in Hughenden Yard to promote his new solo album Long Road Home.
Sound Knowledge owner Roger Mortimer said: “It went very well, it was a short but sweet set from Charlie.
“He sang three songs, two from the new album and one from his last album.
“We had about 150 people here and they waited for up to an hour and a half to meet him. The queue went all the way back to the High Street.
“You could tell that he’s very experienced with these sorts of signings, he seemed very comfortable and he took time with everyone and posed for photos.”
Best known as a member of multi-million selling pop trio Busted, Charlie reinvented his image as frontman of post-hardcore quintet Fightstar before releasing the top ten album Young Pilgrim.
