Publication of papers outlining recommendations for the future of community hospitals in Wiltshire has again been delayed.

Reports to the board of Wiltshire Primary Care Trust which should have been made public tomorrow will not not be ready until at least Wednesday morning.

The board meets next Tuesday to make a decision on the fates of hospitals in Devizes, Marlborough, Chippenham, Trowbridge and Warminster.

Gazette editor Gary Lawrence said: "In the past porevious health trusts have been guilty of hanging on to information until past our deadline.

"I sincerely hope that is not the intention this time."

Last week Devizes MP James Gray and North Wiltshire MP James Gray met with health bosses. Both left the meeting fearing the worst for health services in the county.
