A 53-year-old woman accused of making false claims to get benefits is to face trial by jury.
Kathleen Berkley pleaded not guilty to three charges of deception when she appeared before a judge at Swindon crown court.
It is alleged she failed to notify the authorities that she was living with her husband John Berkley between October 2001 and October 2005.
During that period it is alleged she failed to notify North Wiltshire district council of a change in circumstances when claiming housing and council tax benefits.
Between October 2001 and April 2005 she is also said to have failed to notify the Department of Work and Pensions in relation to a claim for income support.
Berkley, of Woodlands Road, Chippenham, pleaded not guilty to three charges of dishonestly failing to notify a change of circumstance.
The case against her was adjourned to a trial date to be fixed and Berkley was re3leased on unconditional bail.
