Police in Melksham have reminded motorists not to leave young children or pets in hot cars, after being called to a number recent of incidents.

A dog was left in a car in Church Street last week, while two babies and a 12-year-old were seen in a car in Oldfield Road last Friday.

Repeat offenders may face charges, and will be reported to social services.
