Recent correspondence on the St Mary’s proposals in Devizes (including Jemma Brown last week) give the impression that the only venues in the town for events are the Corn Exchange or The Wharf Theatre. That is not correct.
St Andrew’s Church in Long Street has recently spent a considerable sum in order to modernise its facilities and make it available to the community.
This includes open plan adaptable seating , excellent sound facilities, a projector and screen for film and IT including wi-fi and, by removing the old ceiling, giving it back its excellent acoustics.
It has already been used for several concerts, recitals and shows including by The Rotary Club, The Good Afternoon Choir, and Devizes Festival.We would welcome further enquiries (see our website).
