The audience at St Andrew’s Church on Tuesday lunchtime were treated to a gem of a concert by John Pearce (violin) and Dave Archer (guitar).
Their programme ranged from items acknowledging the influence on their careers of artists such as Stephane Grappelli and Django Reinhardt to solo violin works by Bach and Massenet.
In the afternoon they performed at Southfield Care Home and had their audience singing and tapping away to the melodies.
Wednesday morning saw them at Rowdeford School giving a workshop which involved, fascinated and stimulated some 40 or so pupils. A very worthwhile finale to the Archer Pearce Duo’s visit to the festival.
