The plans for St John’s new sixth form campus in Marlborough have been approved by Wiltshire Council. The funding is secured. The development can go ahead.
As part of the discussions with the planners the school has agreed to drop its out of date policy of preventing students from parking their cars on site.
For the new campus there will be 15 spaces on site and Wiltshire Council is prepared to discuss arrangements for students to use 25 spaces at the Wyvern House site behind the new building.
With these 40 spaces the new sixth form centre will be a magnet to attract the brightest pupils from all over the east of the county to apply for places.
