Several months, ago Wiltshire Waste had a very large fire. Several weeks after the fire, I contacted the local environmental team at the council as I was concerned with the very strong smell still coming from Wiltshire Waste.
My main concern was the toxic smell given off by the plastic burning.
I was informed that the air quality had been tested and it was within normal limits.
Since then the smell has stayed the same and on many occasions you can taste it was well.
I am a healthy individual with no history of breathing issues, however, since this fire I have suffered discomfort in my chest.
I would like to know what the environmental service is doing about this constant irritable smell still coming from the Wiltshire Waste site.
Steven Edwards, Nursteed. Devizes.
