Colerne residents are urged to come to a public consultation next week over the future of the village’s former air force hangars.
Cheltenham-based developer Hunter Page has proposed knocking down hangars 18, 19 and 20 and building a new residential and business estate, and will present its initial plans to the public on Wednesday June 11.
Colerne Parish Clerk Glenys Gill said: “Originally their intention was to build work units within the hangars, but now they want to remove them to build a new estate.
“It’s within everyone’s interest to know what’s being proposed, so we would encourage people to turn up and look at the exhibition.
“The developers will be there on the day and can answer any questions directly, or there will be an opportunity for the following two weeks after for people to make contact with them and make their views known.”
The consultation will run from 3pm to 8pm on Wednesday, at the Old School in Vicarage Lane.
