MORE than £3,500 has been awarded to nine local causes by Corsham Town Council.
At its finance committee meeting on Wednesday, April 9, grants were given as follows: £500 to the Kik community radio project at the Pound Arts Centre and the Charity Sci-Fi team for hall hire for their upcoming fun day.
- £500 to the newly-formed Corsham Hockey Club for new sticks.
- £500 to Relate Mid Wiltshire for a counselling bursary scheme.
- £400 to St John Ambulance for a first aid course in the town, and £151.05 to cover the insurance cost of running the walking festival.
- Other recipients included The Wiltshire Bobby Van Trust,Wiltshire County Cricket Club and Transition Community Corsham.
