Two men who are accused of a racially aggravated assault are to face trial by jury.
John-Paul Allen and Scott Shuttleworth are also accused of theft in relation to the alleged incident in Devizes last year.
Allen, 36, and Shuttleworth, 26, both pleaded not guilty to racially aggravated assault causing actual bodily harm and theft when they appeared at Swindon Crown Court on Friday.
It is said they assaulted Jony Samad and stole his Nokia mobile phone during an alleged incident on Saturday, November 9.
Judge Douglas Field adjourned the case until Monday, April 28, when the men are to face trial on the charges.
He remanded Allen, of no fixed abode, in custody and released Shuttleworth, of Hillier Road, Devizes, on bail until then.
