Supermarket worker Lynn Clark is challenging people to get knitting in an Easter effort to help pay for an extension to the Calne Scouts’ hut.
Mrs Clark, of Sainsbury’s in Calne, is making mini baskets for eggs and chicks and hopes to have 200 to sell, as well as other items.
She has enlisted a knitting group from Calne Community Hub, but needs more volunteers to help out the Scouts, the store’s charity of the year.
She said: ““It’s not expensive to do, it doesn’t take a lot of wool.
“I can do the little baskets, but for anything more complicated I need help.”
Patterns are available at the Sainsbury’s in Calne or the Calne Community Hub.
Diana Malling, of the Melksham branch, is knitting too.
A car boot sale is planned for April 27, 10am to 2pm, in the store’s car park. Call (01249) 815927.
