Your Marlborough & Pewsey edition on February 20, page nine, carried a brief note about improvements to the Marlborough Town Hall screening sound system.
This item could not be further from the truth. Why?
I saw the latest KVAT screening Summer in February on Thursday February 20.
The evening was ruined by the sub-standard reproduction of the film sound track. The dialogue was muffled, often inaudible and the evening was ruined as I was unable to follow the plot.
After the performance I spoke to other members of the audience who all agreed the sound was very poor.
I and many others complained to the people who showed the film. But they were unable to say why the sound was so bad after the alleged improvements.
