MARLBOROUGH Talking Books will be able to help more partially sighted people, thanks to a donation from the town’s Lodge Of Loyalty.
The Lodge presented the charity with £145 which was raised through a raffle.
Lodge leader Arthur Bierschenk said: “I learnt of the charity from one of the villagers who makes use of the service.
“I was so impressed and could see what a difference it made to those who have difficulty reading an ordinary newspaper that I immediately wanted to help.
“The Lodge goes out of its way to support local charities, particularly the smaller ones.”
It has helped Great Bedwyn Playgroup, the Jubilee Centre and the Food Bank.
