May I use your newspaper to thank the people of Devizes and district for their support and donations during this year’s Poppy Appeal. Up till now we have raised £22,369.51.
I have had people stop and give me extra donations after hearing about the theft of the box from the Bear Hotel.
I would also like to thank the schools and youth organisations for their help in getting the young involved with the Remembrance parade, and laying of the wreaths, which was a marvellous turnout.
