On behalf of The Salvation Army in Chippenham, I would like to thank you, your reporters and photographers for all the hard work which helped the 2013 Christmas Toy Appeal go so well.
We were able to supply 227 children with new toys for Christmas, as well as giving out a number of Christmas food parcels.
Today we received a letter from the Chippenham Partnership of Schools. The letter states: “The hampers and toys were gratefully received by some of the most vulnerable families we work with. They put a big smile on the faces of those recipients, who might not have been able to afford the luxuries within the hampers and the toys for their children.
“We accepted a lot of ‘thank-yous’ from the families and feel that it is only right that these get passed on.”
Margaret Boyd, Corps Assistant, Chippenham Corps, The Salvation Army Church and Community Centre.
