Police are appealing for information after three homes in rural areas near Malmesbury were burgled this week.

Offenders forced open rear ground floor windows to get inside the properties in Oaksey, Brinkworth and Ashton Keynes.

Electrical items and jewellery were stolen.

Police are advising people in rural areas in particular to be the lookout for anyone seen acting suspiciously and to report it immediately on 999.

Sergeant Martin Alvis, of Malmesbury Police, said: “The team at Malmesbury and our specialist departments are working hard on these enquiries at present to identify an offender.”
