May I say a big thanks to Nigel Kerton and all his happy band of helpers who gave up their Christmas morning to wait upon the many folk who came to Marlborough Town Hall on Christmas Day.

It started at 11.30am and we had our more than our fill by 2.30pm.

With some impromptu singing and pulling of crackers and streamers, the atmosphere was chatty and friendly and the wine was flowing!

The food was deliciously hot and and served in a very professional manner. It was wonderfully cooked.

We had hot soup followed by a fantastic turkey meal and Christmas pudding or apple tart with custard or cream to finish.

Finally, we were all given a bag full of goodies.

I am sure everyone will be putting their names down early for next Christmas. I certainly will.

A happy new year to one and all.
