A Chippenham woman has admitted fraudulently claiming more than £30,000 in benefits.
Georgina Bennett, 42, of Market Place Chippenham, pleaded guilty to making false representations on claim forms for income support, housing benefit and council tax benefit at North West Wiltshire Magistrate’s Court last Thursday.
Over a four-year period she failed to declare income from a cleaning company, and that she was in receipt of disability benefit from the state of Guernsey, which she said was a donation for her dog rehabilitation charity.
She was granted unconditional bail and will be sentenced at Swindon Crown Court at a later date.
