Dorothy House Hospice is holding Light up a Life services for people to celebrate the lives of loved ones.
At the services a light can be dedicated to anyone who has died and is not limited to those who have been cared for at Dorothy House.
St Andrew’s Church, Long Street, is hosting a service on December 5 at 6pm. There will be readings and Christmas carols.
There is also a Christmas tree in the grounds of the hospice where people can dedicate a light in memory of someone.
The lights will be lit for 24 hours a day from Monday to January 5.
Dorothy House community fundraiser Yvonne Brunton said: “The Light up a Life services are always very poignant but positive and I really hope people take this opportunity to remember a loved one and support Dorothy House Hospice Care.”
