Children at The Trinity Primary School in Devizes are delighted with their new scooter pod, which the school won in a national competition.
The school entered the competition run by the company Scooterpods in the September issue of the PTA magazine and were chosen from entries from all over the country. They received their prize last week and head teacher Andrew Wilson proudly posed with it and some of the scootering pupils.
School business manager Sharon Day said: “We are hoping that this new parking facility will encourage more pupils to use scooters to come to school, which will help reduce traffic congestion.”
The 12 parking places in the pod are already full, with other children having to leave their scooters beside it. The school is launching a campaign to raise £350 to buy a second one.
