I have always read the Gazette & Herald for its local news stories.
However, in recent years I have found myself buying it less and less, not because of the price or lack of time, but simply because I find the journalistic style and editing of the paper increasingly ‘tabloid’.
I haven’t bought a Gazette for a few months now for this very reason, but I thought I’d like a local catch up and lo and behold my views have been even more strongly enforced by the ridiculous article regarding the opening of the new Next store in the town and the refusal by the company to allow interviews with employees.
Is this negative reporting about something new and positive for the town really the best you can do?
Come on, I bought the Gazette to read the local news, not this petty garbage.
Surely you can do better than this. If not, then I will definitely continue to keep my £1 in my pocket.
