A TOY exchange at Argos aims to raise £1million for Barnardo’s to give disadvantaged children a better Christmas.
People are invited to donate second-hand toys until Tuesday, November 26, at Argos in Borough Parade in Chippenham, or to Barnardo’s at Lodge Road in Pewsham. They will be resold by Barnardo’s to raise funds.
As a thank you, those who make a donation will receive a £5 voucher towards the cost of new toys, if they spend a minimum of £35 at Argos by Christmas Eve.
Gerard Cousins, Barnardo’s director of retail and trading, said: “The initiative works well for us.
“Its beauty lies in the fact that the concept is so simple.
“All customers have to do to help the most disadvantaged children in society is donate their pre-loved toys.”
